Pickleball at Callahan First!

Pickleball Night brings our community together for a fun, friendly evening of pickleball! Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned player, join us for a welcoming, positive environment to play across three indoor courts. Designed for ages 16 and up, our monthly open gym nights are a great way to connect, stay active, and have a blast!

Pickleball Night Details

  • When: Thursday, May 1, 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
  • Where: The Gym, Located at Callahan First (45090 Green Ave, Callahan, FL 32011)
  • Who: Open to Men and Women ages 16+
  • Skill Level: Beginners 1.0 to Intermediate 3.5
  • What to Expect: 3 indoor courts, (including a dedicated beginners’ court for the first hour). We provide balls, a limited number of paddles to borrow, and basic beginner lessons for first-timers.
  • Cost: Free to play!

    Gym Rules & Etiquette

    Gym Etiquette & Guidlines

    • No foul language or unsportsmanlike behavior.
    • Respect all players, staff, and the facility.
    • Wear appropriate athletic shoes and clothing; eye protection is not required, but encouraged.
    • Keep the gym clean; dispose of trash properly.
    • Handle equipment with care; return borrowed paddles in good condition after use.
    • Have fun, play safely, and enjoy the game at your own risk!

    Game Play Rules

    • Follow the paddle system for court rotation.
    • If the ball hits the ceiling, play stops, the ball is considered out.
    • Court assignments: Court 1 is reserved for Beginner play (2.0 – 2.5). Courts 2 & 3 are reserved for Intermediate play (3.0 – 3.5). We reserve the right to open Court 1 for Intermediate play based on attendance.
    • The receiving side calls the ball out; the serving team may challenge, but the final call is ultimately up to the receiving side.
      Note on Paddle System: After each game, 4 players come off, and 4 new players come on. The two winners place their paddles on the “Winners” table; the two who lost, place their paddles on the “Runners-up” table.
