At Callahan First, we believe in creating a safe, fun, and enriching environment where children can grow in their faith and knowledge of God. Each area and classroom is carefully designed with your child in mind, equipped with age-appropriate furnishings and toys.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me…”

– Matthew 19:14

Bring your child to church to experience God’s truth and learn Bible lessons that reinforce the spiritual training that you are doing.

What every parent wants to know

We understand that parents have three basic questions when they drop off their kids:
Will my child be safe? Will they have fun? Will my child learn something? The preschool and children’s ministry at Callahan First responds to all three with a resounding “YES!”

Check-In System and Security

We use a computer check-in system that prints badges for the child and parent, and the child is only released to the person presenting the matching badge. All of our teachers have background checks and are trained to work in their area of ministry.

Parents in the Classroom

We encourage parents to visit their child’s class and meet their teachers. Each teacher and volunteer should be easily identified by the name tag they wear. Any parent who wishes to observe a classroom must obtain a visitor badge from the check-in desk. Visitors will be asked to observe from the back of the classroom, away from the children.

Food Allergies

Food allergies are noted on the child portion of the check-in tag. Infants are also given an ALLERGY ALERT tag to ensure all workers know of the allergy. PLEASE inform the Check-in workers of any allergies we need to be aware of. Preschoolers snacks are limited to Goldfish, puffs, or animal crackers unless otherwise noted by teachers as a project in their class. Infants are only fed what the parents include in their diaper bags.

In the event of a medical emergency

A children’s ministry Director will contact you through the security tag system if there is any type of emergency concerning your child. Please keep an eye on the overhead screens in the worship center.
